My Humorous Summer 2008
The funniest thing that happened to me this summer was when I lost my glasses in the middle of a field, while being chased by a Mule. Details? Well... I received a phone call one morning from a neighbour, telling me that my mule, Pepperjack, was harrassing the neighbours horses along the fence line. So I journeyed out about a mile out into the field, with my glasses on, to retrieve this mule.
When Pepperjack saw me coming with a pail of grain he bolted straight for me and I started to walk back to the yard. He is a very aggressive animal and all the way back to the yard he continued to charge me. I had to take my glasses off because I didn't have peripheral vision to see him when he charged me.
He was getting more and more aggressive as we walked, so by the time I reached the yard, running the whole way, I had lost my glasses out in the middle of the mile long field. I did actually go back and followed the trail through the field and back, looking for my glasses and could not find them. This turned out to be a very expensive journey.
